Hive Wiggle vs Speech Blubs

This page describes the difference. It doesn’t declare a winner: we haven’t run Speech Blubs with a two-year-old, and everything below about it was read off its own site on September 24, 2026 rather than tested. We make Hive Wiggle, so treat our description of ours accordingly — its gaps are listed at the bottom.

They’re different kinds of thing. Speech Blubs is closest to speech and language therapy apps — A specific, identified need: late talking, articulation, or a diagnosis. Often used alongside a therapist. Hive Wiggle is a picture-word board, aimed at the stage before decoding starts.

Platforms:
Web (phone, tablet, Cornerstone Display)

What Hive Wiggle doesn’t do

  • New, and not yet tested with many children — we have no engagement data to show you.
  • The pictures are emoji, not illustrations. Clear and instant to a toddler, but not artwork.
  • No progression, levels, or reporting. It is a board, not a curriculum, and it will not tell you what your child learned.
  • Your own voice requires setting up a voice clone first; without that it uses a stock voice like everyone else’s.
  • No native iOS or Android app yet — it runs in a browser.
  • Not a speech-therapy tool and makes no therapeutic claim.
